I am a girl coming from Beijing, China. In my childhood, I was dreaming to be a scientist. When I was in high school, I wanted to be a teacher in mathematic. Three years late, I ended up at choosing architecture as my major. My 5-years university life has given me the best I desire, friendship, knowledge, experiences. I got chances travel in China, visited old temples and old cities, talked to local people and learnt their life. Chinese tradition building has a beauty of calm, no matter it’s a narrow street in a village built 1000 years ago, or a garden which belonged to a retired official in 500 years ago, I could experience how the ancients live and even their sentiment. I will ever forget on those nights lying on a roof terrain in a village far away from city, looking at sky full with stars, listening nothing but some distance singing. For many years, I want to repeat this peaceful moment in my design, a quiet and isolate place far from crowd in front of the big nature backdrop.
After graduating from University, I got a job in a big state-owned Architecture Company. I was excited of my new life, and I love my job. There are many good architects in my company, I was so glad that I could talk with them and work with them. By years pasting, I start to desire more, I want to go back to school and learn more. I want to give myself some time to think more.
I came to Oslo in august 2007. That was the biggest decision in my life so far. I love Oslo’s autumn, beautiful color on trees, pure blue sky, and little red, white and green houses. All in a sudden, I found myself in a fairy world. Been accepted by AHO is the most luck thing for me. There are lovely classmates, great teachers and friendly school staffs in the best functional facility. There, I could fully jump into the world of architecture, search the answers.
